Indian Appointed To Key IMF Post
(RTTNews) - International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn has appointed Siddharth Tiwari, Indian economist and currently Director of the Office of Budget and Planning, as the Secretary of the Washington-based lender.
Tiwari, with a proven track record in managing complex work programs, is set to assume the position, which was held by Shailendra Anjaria before his retirement from the Fund earlier this year.
"Tiwari has the experience and skills" to promote consensus building, which is a critical goal of the IMF Board and Management, Strauss-Ka (continued...)
